About SelfLoop

Twenty years helping enterprise companies close more sales — now applied to the live sales floor.

The Through-Line

From digital sales augmentation to live sales intelligence

Enterprise customers needed confidence to buy high-value, complex products online, and the technology to give them that confidence didn't exist yet. We built it.

Product configurators that let customers build exactly what they wanted, see it in photorealistic detail, and purchase with confidence. Visual commerce infrastructure deployed at Fortune 500 scale across furniture, building products, kitchen & bath, industrial equipment, and luxury goods, producing measurable lifts in conversion rate, average order value, and return reduction.

Give buyers the right information, in the right form, at the right moment, and they buy more, buy better, and come back. That is the principle SelfLoop carries from ecommerce to the floor.

The customer standing in front of a car salesperson or a Home Depot associate has the same need as the customer configuring a product online: accurate information, matched to their situation, before they lose confidence and walk away.

The medium changed. SelfLoop delivers that intelligence in real time, through an earpiece or a tablet, grounded in a knowledge base that builds itself from every conversation the team has had.

Ben Houston, Founder

Ben Houston

Ben Houston has spent his career building technology that makes complex, high-value sales more effective, at scale, for major enterprise companies, with measurable results.

At Threekit, Ben founded and led the company that raised $65 million and built the visual commerce platform used by Crate & Barrel, Jacuzzi, Milwaukee Tool, Steelcase, Ralph Lauren, Masonite, Andersen Windows, Home Depot suppliers, and dozens more Fortune 500 companies. Threekit was also recognized by the Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for three years in a row, including a #80 ranking in 2022. The platform gave customers the confidence to commit to complex, custom purchases online through AI-powered product visualization and configuration. Conversion rates rose. Returns fell. Sales cycles got shorter.

SelfLoop applies that same approach to the live sales floor.

Turning complex products into confident purchases

Ben's work at Threekit centered on a practical enterprise challenge: how do you help customers understand complex products well enough to buy with confidence? The answer was software that made product options clear, accurate, visual, and easy to act on across real sales channels.

That discipline transfers directly to SelfLoop. Understanding buyer hesitation, designing the right product experience, integrating into enterprise workflows, delivering measurable commercial outcomes — those same problems now show up in live sales conversations instead of ecommerce journeys.

Technical Foundation

Built for real-world scale

Ben brings the kind of technical depth that matters when AI has to work in production, not just in a demo. He has spent more than two decades building demanding software systems across VFX infrastructure, open web standards, enterprise visualization, and production-grade product platforms.

For SelfLoop's customers, that translates into a platform designed for low latency, secure operation, dependable scaling, and the engineering rigor needed to support real teams in real environments. The audio pipeline, knowledge engine, and cross-device experience are being built with those expectations from the start.

The technical foundation

Ben is a co-creator of Deadline, the render farm management system acquired by Amazon and now running as AWS Deadline Cloud, a platform that became the production standard for Hollywood VFX, trusted by every major studio.

Ben is also a long-time contributor to Three.js and co-author of the glTF standard at the Khronos Group, the open web format that is now the universal language for 3D content on the web.

That background gives SelfLoop direct experience shipping complex, mission-critical software for demanding enterprise environments, where performance and reliability are the only things customers measure.

We Know How to Work With Customers

Enterprise software fails more often from poor implementation than from poor technology. The team behind SelfLoop has deployed complex systems into real enterprise environments, navigating IT requirements, integrating with legacy systems, training sales teams, and iterating based on what actually happens when the product meets the floor.

We work with customers to define what success looks like, instrument the deployment to measure it, and stay engaged until the outcomes are real.

What working with us looks like

  • A pilot deployment scoped to one location or one team, enough to see real signal without committing the whole organization
  • Metrics defined up front: what does a successful deployment look like in your environment?
  • Integration with your existing CRM, inventory system, and sales process, not a replacement but an augmentation
  • Ongoing calibration of the knowledge base and nudge model based on what the data shows is working
  • We succeed when your sales outcomes improve
